Project management and coordination, quality assurance and evaluation
This WP is linked to all Specific Objectives and aims to guarantee the efficient and effective management of the project and the overall control of all activities; to ensure that project results are of the highest quality consistent with project’s standards. The tasks will also determine and evaluate (internally and externally) whether the project planning and implementation are consistent and valid.
Moreover, this WP will assess Partner’s Countries digital hardware, suggest a modernisation plan and review IT infrastructures and software, identifying needs in terms of equipment. The Vietnamese PPs, who are newcomers to the CBHE programme, requested PAL to take on additional management responsibilities in view of their inexperience and unfamiliarity with deliverables and reporting (reports, internal evaluation, questionnaire drafting, documents preparation, etc.).
Identify international models and best practices
This WP identifies international models and best previous practices for music HEIs in IT-based learning solution, cyber and distance performances, and new pedagogical models. The research will examine partner’s ongoing and finished projects, best practices, guidelines, manuals and studies with special focus on other pre-existing music courses in EU Universities. This WP is linked to all Specific Objectives since the crucial aim of WP2 is to deepen the knowledge on the needs of the following target groups: HE students, teachers, staff, technicians and NGOs and Creative industries, so as to define the contents of the topics to be included in the MOOC, training activities and MUSICHATHON Lab.
The Vietnamese PP DNU demanded more support and asked the coordinator to establish the terms, timing and modalities of the research, due to the linguistic difficulties and cultural differences that can be recorded in the state of the art, not least a certain and understandable difficulty for them to immediately appropriate the linguistic and conceptual sectoriality of the research terms.
(SO1, SO2, N1) Delivering of a Learning Management System to implement a blended Training of trainers activity in music HEIs. The LMS, that will feature dedicated courses, online assessments, user feedbacks, synchronous and asynchronous activities, will develop and strengthen new teaching practices and methodologies based on digital skills and IT and distance performance tools.
(SO3, SO2, N2, N5) MOOC targeted to students to facilitate the implementation of innovative teaching and learning methods based on cyber and distance performing practices. The course will allow knowledge transfer between partners and promote and develop solutions and curricula beyond partner countries, thus contributing to reduction in innovative capacity differences between EU member states, with free and open access material.
This WP will be coordinated by NUAE and tackle the following:
(SO3, N3, N4) Strengthening and practicing develop the training material to teach digital skills linked to the music and performing field;
(SO1, N1, N2) Testing with a hands-on activity IT infrastructures and strengthening the skills for implementing distance performance capacities and technical knowhow;
(SO1, N.2, N.5) Select and reward the best initiative (Music Start Cup) in the field of new music technologies investing in the field of inclusion, copyright, entrepreneurial capacity and innovation.
(SO1, SO2, N1, N2, N3, N5) Design and test curriculum on IT for music training and digital tools in cyber and distance performances. The course will inspire and engage 180 students in the fundamental aspects of innovative IT models harnessing digital perspectives in training. Indirectly, it will also contribute, in accordance with the predicted learning outcomes of the learning activities, in strengthening IT skills for employability (SO3, N3, N4).
Increase the knowledge transfer between partners and promotion of HEIs didactic offer beyond partner countries (SO4, N3, N4, N5), the latter also in particular by allowing all materials (syllabus, training materials) to be disseminated and exploited.
Leverage the MOOC contents and deliver an open-source Handbook which allows for replicability and sustainability. Course MODULE test will be supported by HALU, who will coordinate Vietnamese PPs.
Dissemination and exploitation
This WP is linked to all Specific Objectives inasmuch as:
it promotes the project, foreseen goals and the partnership seeking the sustainability of the results, and of the partnership itself, assuring the continuity and update of the mentionedresults;
it involves the envisaged target-groups and local, regional and national stakeholders during the project lifespan, by updating them and involving them, asking also their inputs toimprove the project results;
it disseminates results to possible multiplier agents, mainstreaming at national and EU level of higher education and entrepreneurs’ communities, assuring that they incorporate them,providing a systemic view and opportunities of training for target-groups and companies;
it assures that the results go beyond the sectors they will be piloted in, go through the sectoral boundaries and be incorporated in practices of other sectors and countries.
HALU and TDU will act as intermediaries to facilitate communication, exploitation and coordination in WP6.
